The STEM programs in Tulane Pre-College offer students the opportunity to learn about careers that studying the science, mathematics, engineering, and technology disciplines can lead to after college. All of Tulane Pre-College STEM programs are designed to inspire participants to see the world in a new way and encourage them to realize the importance of finding solutions to real-world problems.

Our Pre-College courses in STEM offers academic enrichment courses for middle and high school students developed with Tulane faculty and taught by highly qualified instructors for students in grades six through 12. The courses are tailored to the needs of middle and high school students to explain complex concepts in a practical, understandable way.
High School students looking for a more advanced experience can apply for one of our college-credit courses designed for students in tenth through twelfth grade with a strong interest in the sciences, engineering and mathematics. Our college-credit courses are taught by Tulane science and engineering faculty and graduate students and allow students to experience the challenge and rigor of college-level academics while still in high school.
Our STEM courses focus on an array of disciplines, such as environmental science, computer science, robotics, engineering, physics, biology and health sciences. Students have access to Tulane facilities, where they conduct lab work.
Participants can choose to live in the residence halls for the full college experience or commute and have the flexibility of living at home. Pre-College staff members supervise residential students throughout the duration of the program, and these students also have the benefit of a variety of evening and weekend activities.
