Next Steps
Congratulations on your offer of admission to Tulane Pre-College Programs! Complete the following actions to participate in this summer's programming. We are looking forward to seeing you on campus.
- Respond to your offer of admission within one week of acceptance to our programs.
- Pay a 10% non-refundable deposit within two weeks of accepting your offer of admission.
- Submit the remaining program payment by May 17th.
- Complete your enrollment paperwork in CampDoc by May 24th. You will receive an email with a link to log into CampDoc starting in mid-March.
Information + Resources
Students begin every day with a College Resource workshop from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Classes run from 10:00 a.m. to lunch. Lunch times vary by program. Students then return to class until 3:30 p.m. for dismissal.
The Malkin Sacks Commons serves a variety of hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all meals include vegan options. There will also be a few options around campus.
You will receive a Tulane email to use before and during the program. Save your password prior to arrival. All courses require a laptop. You can learn more about our technology requirements here.

Residential Information
Residential students live in a single-point-of-entry residence hall on campus with two-student air-conditioned rooms and community bathrooms. Students are assigned to floors by age and gender with a pre-assigned roommate. All rooms come with Twin XL bed, closet, desk, chair, dresser and minifridge-microwave combo. We provide 2 flat sheets (XL Twin), 1 blanket, 1 pillow and pillowcase, 1 bath towel and 1 face cloth. Laundry facilities and hypo-allergenic laundry detergent are provided. Read more.
Tulane University’s Campus is about a 25-minute drive from the airport. Commercial taxis, Uber, Lyft, and car rentals are available from the airport. Complimentary shuttle service to and from campus is provided on designated arrival and departure dates. Requests for shuttle services must be included in your CampDoc profile. Read more.
Arrival Day
You will move into the residence hall the Sunday before your course begins. Check-in runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is a mandatory orientation at 4 p.m., which is followed by social activities, dinner, and krewe meetings.
Departure Day
Check-out runs from 6:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the Saturday after your class ends. Residential staff will conduct a final room check and sign you out of the program. Once you have been signed out, you are authorized to leave campus according to the information in your CampDoc profile. All students must be checked out of the residence hall by 12:00 p.m.
Weekday Activities
After class, you will have krewe meetings, dinner, evening activities, and free time. You can choose between a variety of events planned and supervised by our residential life team.
Weekend Excursions
Each weekend, we offer an assortment of on-and off-campus excursions led and accompanied by our pre-college staff. Past excursions have included swamp tours, canoeing down Bayou St. John, exploring world-class museums, and more.
Off-Campus and Sign-Out Policy
Residential students are not permitted to leave campus unless supervised by pre-college staff. Parents/guardians may complete a leave request form to request student sign-out by a legal age adult.
Commuter Information
If you are driving to campus, you must purchase a visitor parking permit online or in the Customer Engagement Office in the Lavin-Bernick Center. You should purchase your parking passes before your class starts.
You are required to check in and check out with pre-college staff at the start and end of each day. You should arrive to campus no later than 8:45 a.m. for college workshop and will check out as soon as your class ends. We will provide specific information about check-in and check-out locations via email prior to your first day of class. Read more.
Commuter students have access to a variety of Tulane resources. Your meal plan includes weekday lunches at the Malkin Sacks Commons. You can visit the Student Health Center during their business hours to be seen by a nurse. Enjoy the many study spaces on campus, including Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. Please note that commuter students do not have access to the Reily Student Recreation Center and are not allowed in residence halls. You can purchase day passes to the Reily Center on their website.
Many of our courses include field experiences in the Greater New Orleans community. The cost for all field trips, including transportation to and from the site, are included in the program cost. Instructors will share course-specific information with you on the first day of your course. We also partner with Undergraduate Admission to provide informational sessions to all of our participants interested in Tulane University. Extracurricular activities on weeknights and weekends are only open to residential students at this time. Read more.
