Newcomb Summer Session is a selective pre-college program in women’s leadership. Students will get a preview of the college classroom while forming a community centered on exploring gender and social change. Through discussion-based seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects, students will gain strategies for taking on leadership roles in and beyond the classroom, finding a public voice, tackling real-world social issues, closing the academic “confidence gap” between men and women, and strengthening college applications.
Who: Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors
Dates: Session 1: June 18-22
Session 2: June 25-29
Credit: None. Each student will receive a certificate of completion and a professor’s letter of recommendation.
